I agree with Lauren Fisher this is a nice post, you are a great writer. It took me month to get to being comfortable with the writing I currently produce on my blog and that is not saying very much. I look forward to my development I just feel sorry fo my poor readers, but I try my best.

Nice post Gary. I was reading slightly nervously until I saw 'refreshingly interesting' :)

I like the fact that you've touched upon the fluidity of blogs and I think it's something that's specific to this medium. When it comes to blogging, we have to learn fast. I'm always amazed when I look through earlier posts I've written to see how much my writing style has changed. There's often a lot of cringeing involved!

We come to learn naturally the type of posts that attract comments, tweets or even negative feedback. We learn to adapt both our writing style and content accordingly in a bid to constantly grow and improve this moving 'thing' that is the blog.

We also learn what we like from the consumer end as we read other blogs and I think this has a big influence in how we produce our own content.
